Living in Grenoble, France, Jean-Pierre Desmoulins holds an electrical
engineering degree.After having worked as as a computer and systems specialist on
industrial automation, robotics, various high tech hardware and software applications, he is now a professor in electrical engineering. He practices astronomy and astrophysics as a hobby, as well as sailing and skiing.
I don't know if I will go on this sunspots research : it's time consuming, doesn't help
me to rent a sailboat for my holydays or buy my new Pentium computer, and I have
other centers of interest. Furthermore, for the size of my ankles (as we say in french),
somebody pointed out that, if my hypotheses stand for a dozen of solar cycles,
say during the 21th century, it could be obviously considered as good... Thanks, guy,
I will enjoy it very much at that time !
But, it could also be validated by an other way. Solar
cycles give fluctuations in natural C14 production. In analysing tree rings, ice cores, animal shells
or other materials dated precisely by yearly signals, some researchers have perhaps
cyclic around 11 years periodic signals, absolutely dated, that could be correlated
with my model.
due to the good accuracy of planets ephemerids, I would be able to give curves or data
like the ones presented in this article, running over ten thousand years. Or interested
