One of those who have propagated these crazy theories is a french, Thierry Meyssan, journalist and head of the "réseau Voltaire". In his best-selling book "The big lie", big edition success translated into 28 languages, he pretends to demonstrate (but without having even gone to the USA for his so called enquiry) that it is not a plane but a missile which has crashed onto the Pentagon. The consequences of these works are destroying. In germany for example, one person out of five believes that the US government is himself implicated in the attacks... Antoine Vitkine and Barbara Necek shell out and analyse these phenomenes. In germany, they meet with the publisher of Thierry Meyssan, the french Pierre Krebs, also president of an extreme right pagan sect, the "Thule seminary". In Egypt, a persistant rumor comes to their ears : the four thousand jews which worked in the World Trade Center would have received the advice not to go there on the day of the attack. And it is also in Egypt that they are granted a surprising witness account, from Montasser Al Zayad, attorney of the Djihad and friend of Al Quaida number 2, who definitely debunks all the conspiracy theories.
